Purchasing Inquiries

This section looks at two of the most commonly used purchasing inquiries in Micronet:

Item Inquiry

An item inquiry displays the item details, such as product category and pricing details, as well as the item's status and quantity information.

To view an item inquiry:

  1. Select SALES | SALES DESK INQUIRIES | INVENTORY.

Micronet displays the Item Selection screen.

 

Technical Tip

Any warehouse details displayed on this screen, e.g. W/House On Hand or W/House Free Stock, show information for your default warehouse.

  1. Select the item you want to inquire on.

  1. Review the menus and screen detail.

Note that the item's status and quantities are displayed by warehouse in the detail section at the bottom of the screen.

  1. You can change the order in which the items at the bottom of the screen are sorted by double clicking on the header of the column you want to sort by.

For example, you can double click on the Bin column header to sort by bin number, or double click on the first column header [Warehouse] to sort by warehouse ID. You can only sort on selected columns. Micronet saves this change so items are sorted in that order the next time you display this screen.

  1. You can also change the order in which the columns are displayed by selecting the column header and dragging the column to the position you want it in.

Micronet also saves this change so the screen always displays this way.

  1. Optionally, you can double click on any of the lines in the bottom section of the screen to display or print a Stock on Hand report for the item.
  1. Optionally, you can press the F11 hotkey to display an item summary.
